Leave GM "calling cards" in shops

Put pressure on supermarkets to help keep GM off their shelves with our free downloadable card

What you can do

A simple, effective action you can take to help get the message across to both other shoppers and shop managers is to leave a "calling card" on the shelf with the GM products.

Or you could take many of the items to the checkout, then refuse to buy them and explain to the manager why.

O you could write to the shop manager or company HQ telling them you don't want to see GM ingredients on their shelves. See contact details for all major UK supermarkets here.

Background to this action

Some shops in the UK are beginning to sell **lis there link a few items containing GM ingredients, and we want to get them off the shelves.

So far we know of:

  • Tesco, Co-op and others selling KTC oil
  • Tesco selling Hershey's Nutrageous chocolate bars (see separate action)

If you find any other products with GM ingredients on the labels, please let us know what they are and where you found them by writing to coordinator@gmfreeze.org.
