GM cooking oil: what’s in your chips?

GM cooking oil is widely used by take-aways and caterers across the UK. The law says they must tell their customers. Many are not doing so but you can help change that and give everyone an informed choice.

What you can do

You can make a real difference while going about your everyday life by simply asking about GM cooking oil when you visit a take away or restaurant. Many staff will not know what oil they are using so you may need to ask them to check in the store room.

Printing tips

Leaflets should be folded into an A5 booklet. To get the pages the right way round you may need to go into printer preferences and choose a setting like “flip on short edge”.

The leaflet works best in full colour but has been designed to be perfectly usable in black and white.

If you want to get a large quantity of leaflets printed professionally, it will probably be best to make all your changes then save the finished version as a pdf.
