Tell the Co-op "No!" to GM animal feed
Co-op members can help press the company to "Do the right thing"
Let's see who's with us - and who isn't
See our press release about the contamination of US wheat in Oregon here: http://www.gmfreeze.org/news-releases/220/
This is a good time to remind your MP that we don't want GM wheat so we don't need this trial, and we certainly don't want it extended to include a Winter wheat crop - for details see http://www.gmfreeze.org/actions/24/
Please write to your MP and MEPs asking them to sign the "GM Wheat? No thanks!" Pledge. It's a really simple, effective way for us to find out where politicians stand on this issue.
If you have the time, it's a great idea to send a copy of your letter to your local newspaper and/or radio station. This has the double benefit of making sure they are aware of the issue, and what we are doing about it. You could even enclose copies of our leaflet on GM and GM wheat - contact coordinator@gmfreeze.org to order leaflets.
Please feel free to tweet about this action, post it on facebook or send it to friends. This really helps us, so thank you.
We suggest you use writetothem.com to help contact your MP and MEPs. writetothem.com do not accept block copied text, and the site may reject attempts to do this. This is because personalised letters from constituents are by far the most effective. Politicians are increasingly dismissive of identical letters they receive.
Please simply personalise the suggestions we give you or contact your politicians directly (rather than using writetothem.com) if you want to block copy text. Thank you for keeping our actions as effective as they can be.
All the background to the GM wheat campaign is here. Background to previous actions for MP/MEPs on GM wheat are here in case you want to write a more detailed letter.
We've made a great start on gathering support. Now we need to ensure politicians know what we want.
Please bear in mind if your MP is a Minister s/he may be barred from signing, but it is very important to ask them to do so anyway to ensure they know your feelings and how you expect them to respond to this issue as a consituent.
