Could you be our new treasurer?

If you’re confident reading financial spreadsheets, have a bit of free time and want to make a difference, please consider joining the team as GM Freeze’s new treasurer.

The treasurer is a member of our volunteer Management Committee so will serve as Company Director and will not be paid for their contribution to GM Freeze. They will, however, know that they are making a valuable contribution to the campaign for a responsible, fair and sustainable food system.

We are particularly keen to hear from people of colour, disabled people and men who are all under-represented in the GM Freeze team. If you are interested but wouldn’t normally put yourself forward for this kind of role please do get in touch – we need your skills and a wider range of people to help create a responsible, fair and sustainable food system.

Join the Management Committee

Management Committee members are volunteers. Most members of the committee are elected at the AGM to represent member organisations but there are also independent committee members, co-opted for their skills and experience.

We would like to expand the level of hands-on experience of farming and food production on the Management Committee. We also recognise that men are currently under-represented. If you would like to be considered for co-option, please contact Director Liz O’Neill on liz[at]gmfreeze.org for more information.
