GM Freeze Membership
GM Freeze is an umbrella campaign. Member organisations include large national charities, small grassroots groups, businesses and others who share our vision for a responsible, fair and sustainable food system.
Members pledge to support a moratorium on:
- the growing of genetically modified plants and the production of genetically modified farm animals for any commercial purpose.
- the import of genetically modified foods, plants, farm crops and farm animals, and produce from genetically modified plants and animals.
- the patenting of genetic resources for food and farm crops.
Member organisations are company members with liability limited to £1. Representatives of member organisations are entitled to vote at our AGM and to stand for election to the Management Committee which serves as Board of Directors. Our Articles of Association include all the legal details you may want to check.
New members have to be approved by the GM Freeze Management Committee but if you share our aims and values then you will be welcome in our friendly network. Members make a financial contribution to GM Freeze with membership fees based on their turnover.
