Defend our GM safeguards
The UK Government’s Genetic Technology Bill is about to become law, imposing untested – and unlabelled – GMOs on the entire UK food chain. The bill re-brands new GMOs as “precision bred organisms” and will:
- Allow genetic engineers to check their own homework, rather than having proper safety checks
- Remove GMO labels, taking away our right to choose
- Allow GMOs to contaminate the whole food chain
